Poison

pink ribbons flashing –

amongst lady fair –

sit beside death’s gaze –

poisoned bottle there –

lover sinks into –

jealous woman’s glare —

 

winding through hedge maze –

she follows red thread –

dragons flare in rage –

bats flit overhead –

monkeys, snakes, demons –

chase angels, who fled —

 

crying red roses –

white rose on ground –

babe like angel forms –

falling stars abound –

blossom of youth, see –

on cheek of maid found —

 

lovers tryst in glass –

capturing the crime –

angry wife stands by –

beauty fades with time –

look upon this scene –
